Welcome to The Mirfield Emporium

We've finally done it, we are online and this is our first Blog Post - welcome to you all.....

I'm Donna and I'm in charge of all of the social media at The Mirfield Emporium. I'll be the one who writes the blogs, tells you all about our lovely products and answers any questions that you may have.

I'm going to use this first post to tell you all little bit about the idea behind The Mirfield Emporium and what we hope to offer you from our new online presence. 

We are a family business who have a shop in the small town of Mirfield in West Yorkshire.  We've hoped to have an online shop for quite a while now but, as much as I love social media, I am quite an old fashioned girl at heart and I worried that we would struggle to make online feel friendly and warm. So, after much thought, we decided that by adding a blog and by having reviews of products and posts about our suppliers, we could make it a more sociable space and just like walking into our shop.

We want to provide a 'treat for everyone' on our website, just as we do in our shop. Within our site you will be able to buy gifts for babies yet to be born right up to Grandmas & Grandads and everyone in-between, as well as being able to pop the odd little treat for yourself into your basket (we promise we won't tell!)

We offer a Click & Collect service for busy people who may prefer to shop in the comfort of their own home and then collect at their convenience. Or, of course, you can opt for home delivery and receive your goodies through the post. The choice is yours.

I love reading blogs and seeing the people behind the pages so I can't wait to write regular blog posts to keep you up to date with news from The Mirfield Emporium. We love choosing new items and taking them home to try out ourselves, so you can look forward to lots of personal reviews and photos. One of the reasons I enjoy blogs so much is that I can have a nosey around the bloggers home!!
