Barbara the Crochet Queen
Our resident crafter Barbara is an absolute whizz with a crocheting hook or a pair of knitting needles. Taught her craft by an army of aunties and her mum, she has done them all proud by continuing the family tradition.
Her insistence on only using the finest Egyptian cotton and her eye for colour and design means that we always have a wonderful selection of beautiful blankets, booties, shoes and hats to make your new little person comfy cosy.
The quality of materials used paired with Barbara's impeccable skills means that each piece is destined to become a family heirloom to be passed down through generations.
Jellycat
This quirky and desirable company was founded in London in 1999. They're now a staple in our little shop; from their super soft Bashful range with bunnies, foxes and other adorable critters to their more quirky Amusables, which have included broccoli, bonsai and even birthday cake!
Fikkerts
Fikkerts have been capturing the fragrance of an English country garden for over one hundred years! The Keighley (West Yorkshire) based business have been keeping it in the family since it's inception in 1903. The company has gone from strength to strength and supplies us with a fantastic range of bath home remedy products; from bath soak to muscle rub.
East of India
Started in 1991 by John and Anne, after a trip to Bali; this lovely Kent based company has an emphasis on creating ethically sourced and environmentally conscious gifts. The pair returned to Indonesia after meeting a talented woodcarver during their trip, and the company still work in that area to provide excellent carved items and handcrafted wooden and porcelain products.
The Yorkshire Candle Co.
Founded in 2014, this Sheffield based company has quickly become a Mirfield Emporium staple. Their beautiful vegan products include candles, wax melts and room mists; and are both environmentally responsible and cruelty free, and with a range of fragrances from 'Yorkshire Dales' to 'Plum and Rhubarb' to 'Baby Powder', there's a candle for every preference.
Miss Sparrow / Mr Heron
London based Miss Sparrow provide us with an excellent selection of fashionable and novelty bamboo socks. Their wide selection of interesting and colourful designs mean that we can tailor our gifts to any individual.
West Riding Soapworks
Mirfield based Trudy has been providing us with her handmade soap since her company's creation in 2020.
Her environmentally sound and beautfiully fragranced collection is a testiment to keeping things local. From the packaging to the production, everything is kept in Mirfield, and we're proud to stock them at The Mirfield Emporium and now share them with you in our lovely gift boxes!
The Country Candle Co.
Nestled in the rural region of Hampshire, this family owned candle company has gone from strength to strength since it's creation in 2011.
Brothers Karl and Austen have completely rebranded the company in recent years, giving their candles a modern uplift. We've loved this company from their rustic beginnings but this new fresh look is the perfect addition to our shop.

Founded in 2015 by none other than the Rosie who made the thing, this award winning brand is an Emporium staple.
Rosie Made A Thing is probably one of the companies that best encapsulates the sense of humour of The Mirfield Emporium. With a destinctive style and a way of speaking as the 'every woman'; Rosie combines funniness and friendship, making her an easy best seller.
